If you would like to become an employee of Qwick to pick up W-2 shifts, you are required to complete and successfully pass a background check. Read on for more information on how to do this.

Authorizing a Background Check Report

Employment is contingent on passing a background check. Complete all necessary onboarding documents and submit to a background check, all from your Qwick for Professionals app.

Information Contained in the Background Check Report

Checkr will run the background check and issue a report that includes:

  • A social security number trace, which is used to search for records that may pertain to you (Don’t worry, this is totally normal.)

  • A search of the national sex offender database and/or government global watchlist databases

  • Any criminal history

Reviewing the Results

Qwick reviews every background check report to determine your work eligibility. Individuals with prior criminal convictions are not automatically disqualified. Qualified candidates with criminal records are welcome to undergo a background check in order to pick up background-check-required shifts.

Your background check report will be reviewed independently, using certain criteria, including the following factors:

  • Whether the convictions are related to the work performed through Qwick’s platform

  • Amount of time passed since the offense

  • Seriousness of the offense

  • Rehabilitation efforts

  • Successful employment since the conviction

  • Any information provided by or about the professional regarding the conviction

  • Any other factors required by law

Below are some examples of how certain convictions may be adjudicated. These are just examples, and the factors above will be used when considering each professional’s record.

Results of the Background Check

If You Pass

If you successfully pass a background check, you will be prompted to continue and complete your W-2 onboarding via the Qwick for Professionals app.

If Further Review is Required

If your background check results do not immediately pass and an assessment with further review is required, you will be notified and given the opportunity to submit additional information (including mitigating circumstances, your rehabilitation efforts, or other information you would like to be considered before a final decision is made). You can submit additional information via the Checkr applicant portal as a Candidate Story. You will also be notified and given the opportunity to dispute any information in your background check report that you believe is incorrect by contacting Checkr through the Checkr applicant portal. If your background check report is later updated, please text us at 79425 so the new updated information can be reassessed.
