To become a W-2 professional and access W-2 shifts in your city, you will need to complete an important part of your Qwick application process: the interview!

Qwick is trusted by thousands of businesses in the hospitality industry, in large part because of our talented and experienced professionals. Our virtual 1:1 interview is one of the primary ways we ensure that every new employee of our Qwick crew meets the job qualifications.

The interview is your opportunity to virtually, via video chat through the Qwick for Professionals app, discuss your relevant food and beverage experience with a Qwick Onboarding Specialist. The interview is also a space for you to ask questions about job expectations, how to best leverage the Qwick platform, and more. After your 10 to 20-minute conversation, we'll evaluate whether we're a good fit for each other.

The interview is an extremely vital step and a requirement in order to become a W-2 professional and start accepting shifts within the Qwick app.

Signing up for an interview

After you’ve created your Qwick account, sign up in the app for an interview session that fits your schedule. If there aren’t any sessions available, you can add yourself to the waitlist and we’ll notify you (via text and push notification) when more sessions open up. We also suggest checking the app in moments when you’re ready and able to attend an instant interview (where you can join in that moment instead of having to pre-schedule it). Instant sessions are a great way to start accepting W-2 shifts ASAP!

Preparing for the interview

We ask that you keep the following things in mind prior to joining the session:

  • Be prepared to discuss/share your relevant food and beverage experience in detail. A friendly reminder that at least 1 year of prior, recent experience is required to join the Qwick platform.

  • Draft any questions that you may have regarding your employment, job expectations, or the Qwick platform.

  • Treat it like a professional interview, because it is.

  • Find a quiet space with access to good WiFi.

  • Ensure your device is fully charged and/or connected to power.

  • Dress professionally (we’re not asking you to bust out the suit and tie; simply dress how you would for a shift. Solid-colored button downs or collared shirts are always safe choices).

  • Come with a great attitude.

Once you pass the interview, you will be prompted to complete the rest of the W-2 Application checklist!
