Qwick provides W-2 Professionals with protected Paid Sick and Safe Time (“PSST”) as required pursuant to applicable law. This allows employees to take time off for specific reasons without risking their job security. While every state’s laws and regulations around PSST differ, in general, such time can be used for:

  • Personal Illness: If you are sick, injured, or need to seek medical, dental, or mental health care.

  • Family Care: Caring for a family member who is ill, injured, or requires medical attention.

  • Safe Time: Addressing needs related to domestic violence, sexual assault, or stalking, such as obtaining medical treatment, counseling, relocation, or legal services.

  • Preventive Care: Attending routine medical or dental appointments for yourself or your family members.

Your personal, accrued, and unused PSST balance is reflected on your paystubs.

Since PSST requirements differ from state to state, please be sure to review Qwick's Employee Handbook for W-2 Professionals and your state’s supplements (if applicable) for more information.

If you would like to use your accrued, unused PSST, or have questions about this time, please contact us at 79425. If you elect to use PSST, it will be calculated as required by applicable law and paid out in the paycheck for the pay period in which it is taken.
