Attendance Requirements

At Qwick, we strive to provide our business partners with great and reliable service. We value punctuality and consistent attendance as essential to maintaining a productive and efficient work environment. As a W-2 professional, you are expected to:

  • Arrive on time and work the full shift: Be sure to report to your shift at your scheduled start time and work a full, complete shift.

  • Adhere to meal and rest break schedules: Please follow designated meal and rest break times as set forth in Qwick’s Employee Handbook for W-2 Professionals and any applicable state appendices.

  • Notify absences in advance: You must follow the notification requirements set forth below to report an absence.

An absence includes not showing up to your scheduled shift at all, showing up late, or leaving early.

Protected Absences

Some absences are considered “Protected Absences.” Protected Absences include absences covered under federal, state, or local laws, such as those for paid sick and safe time, medical leave, family leave, jury duty, and other legally protected reasons. These absences will not count against you and will not result in disciplinary action. In addition, if you schedule a shift but cancel it in the app 24 hours or more in advance, the canceled shift will not be counted as an absence.

Non-Protected Absences

Non-Protected Absences are all other absences or tardiness not covered by legal protections. Repeated Non-Protected Absences may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

Notification Requirements
